Holland America Line has just taken delivery, from Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy, of the Koningsdam, the first Pinnacle-Class ship in its fleet.
The ship will undertake a series of Mediterranean cruises, before moving its base to Amsterdam for a series of northern Europe and Baltic cruises before returning to the Mediterranean in September, then heading to Lauderdale for a season exploring the Caribbean.
The 99,500-tonne vessel accommodates 2650 guests and features Holland America Line’s first purpose-built staterooms for families and solo travelers among its 1331 guest accommodations.
