TravelManagers’ Amy Shaw is Number 400

TravelManagers reached a significant milestone signing personal travel manager number 400 last year, further enhancing its reputation as the biggest network of personal travel managers. TravelManagers is Australia’s only truly national home-based agency with licensed offices in all states.

Lucky number 400 was Amy Shaw, representative for St Kilda in Victoria. After 13 years in a traditional retail travel environment, with the last eight years focusing on corporate travel, the flexibility home-based consulting offered attracted Shaw.unnamed (2)

“Flexibility, owning my own business and limitless financial opportunities were my three key drivers for becoming a home-based personal travel manager. TravelManagers has catered perfectly to all of these needs. I have the flexibility to run my business my way, yet have the support to help grow my client base locally while having access to competitive prices and commissions. Not having to commute is also a real bonus,” says Shaw.

It was an easy decision for Shaw to join TravelManagers.

“Many of my colleagues had made the switch to TravelManagers and they couldn’t speak highly enough of the company. The behind the scenes central and local state-based support is second to none, they are forward thinking and innovative particularly around technology and customer service.  TravelManagers is a company that really cares about its people and community and that’s important to me,” she says.

TravelManagers is an example of a company utilizing technology to its full extent. With its blend of online presence and personal service they clearly demonstrate that the home-based personal travel manager model is the future of the travel industry.

“TravelManagers technology is second to none and it’s central to everything we do. Providing the broadest and most in-depth support and infrastructure we provide the personal travel manager with inventory, booking, ticketing and payment processes together with product and destination information. Personal travel managers have 24 hour access to their client files, which is hugely beneficial should the unforeseen happen whilst clients are travelling overseas and need urgent assistance plus, with full access to every aspect of a client’s booking you can work at any time of your choosing which gives you great flexibility for family and social life,” says Gazal.

Five months on and Shaw has never looked back.

“I love being part of the TravelManagers’ family. The flexibility I have, the support I receive from my locally state-based business partnership manager and the national partnership office is invaluable and more importantly I am working less hours and earning substantially more. You can’t ask for more than that,” she says.

TravelManagers is well on its way to reaching the 500 personal travel managers milestone.
