Twelve months of planning for TravelManagers’ sixth and largest conference to date, culminates on Wednesday 06 November with the official start of their 2013 national conference.

In addition to 39 partner suppliers participating in the conference, an overwhelming 159 personal travel managers are travelling from almost every state and territory across Australia, with a final count of 268 people taking part in this years’ conference.

Themed ‘Get On Board – The Future is Personal,’ the three-day conference will focus on equipping personal travel managers with the skills to truly

promote the value of a client having their ‘own’ personal travel manager.

Chief Executive, Joe Araullo, says from a business perspective the conference objectives centre around equipping personal travel managers with the skills they need to truly make a positive difference, enhancing the clients’ travel experience from itinerary planning right through to returning home.

“In addition to this we will also focus on the difference we can make to the communities within which we live and work, directly and indirectly, locally or further afield.”

There is also much anticipation around the guest speakers, with their presentations being linked to the conference theme.

“We are so fortunate to have such a high calibre of key note speakers attend this years’ conference, providing relevant content as well as thought provoking and open forum discussion,” says Araullo.

Highlighting the growth of new personal travel manager recruits this year, for 47 personal travel managers it will be their first national conference.

“In addition for 14 personal travel managers this will be their sixth conference, never having missed one. This is a fantastic testament to the value these conferences add to the personal travel managers experience with engaging key note speakers, informative workshops and working collectively on challenging realities all rolled into a few fun filled days,” says Araullo.

For the first time TravelManagers is hosting a dual land and sea national conference. Commencing Wednesday 06 to Saturday 09 November the conference will be held at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth and aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas.
