TravelManagers Sixth National Conference Kicks off

TravelManagers’ 2013 national conference begins today in Sydney with an extensive agenda planned. Following early morning registrations, Executive General Manager, Michael Gazal will officially open the conference outlining the theme ‘Get On Board – The Future is Personal’ and kick off with the very popular ‘State of the Nation’ address.

“The industry is changing so rapidly, we find the State of the Nation session is a fantastic way to start the conference. It provides a clear picture by accentuating the main points of difference between our personal travel manager home-based model with the traditional bricks and mortar retail and online environments. This combined with the challenges we face as an industry, really sets the scene for our open forum discussions,” says Gazal.

With the largest contingent of partner supplier attendance at a conference, four of the six premium sponsors will take the stage to address the personal travel managers on day one.  These include presentations from Singapore Airlines, APT Group, Qantas Holidays and DriveAway Holidays. download

Gazal says in addition to suppliers presentations, day one will also see Janine Shepherd, one of Australia’s most sought after inspirational speakers address the conference.

“Janine will share with us her personal struggle to overcome adversity and build a successful career and life outside of business. We know this will resonate so well with many of our personal travel manager experiences,” he says.

Late afternoon will see the highly anticipated team-building challenge introduced by Malcolm McLeod, a team-building specialist. In addition, McLeod will also present on his studies involving analyzing handwriting with his belief in that it uncovers much more about us and our clients as individuals.

Gazal says the well-loved personal travel manager ‘Secrets of Success’ presentations along with the very popular Q & A session with the House of Travel board of directors will again form part of day one’s agenda.

“We start with a couple of our personal travel managers sharing their secrets to success, and how they have built their business to the level it is today. It’s hugely inspiring listening to our own personal travel managers, they are highly successful, experienced and passionate and they love to share their successes with the others with the hope that it helps them all to grow their business.”

A welcome cocktail party allowing TravelManagers national partnership office, their personal travel managers, guest speakers and suppliers to mix and mingle is the perfect way to end day one of the conference.

For the first time TravelManagers are hosting a dual land and sea national conference. Commencing Wednesday 06 to Saturday 09 November the conference will be held at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth and aboard Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas.
