Travelmarvel books in more departures for Canada & Alaska for 2018

Premium cruise and tour operator Travelmarvel has expanded its Canada & Alaska program, giving agents more options to book clients on its super popular North America itineraries.

Available to agents now, Travelmarvel’s Canada & Alaska featuring USA Rail Journeys 2018 brochure features increased departures on popular Western Canada itineraries and new touring routes. An additional new itinerary, the 21 day Iconic Rockies & Alaska Cruise, is offering 12 departures alone.

The program is accompanied by a new suite of Earlybird Offers, including a choice of 2-for-1 international airfares or the option to fly business class for $5,995, or premium economy for $2,595, on selected tours.

An additional Early Payment Discount of up to $600 per couple is also available for any tour where guests book and pay in full 10 months prior to departure.

Commenting on the new program, Travelmarvel Executive General Manager David Cox said the long standing popularity of Canada and Alaska touring with Australians combined with Travelmarvel’s unique premium level offering had seen the program expand rapidly in the past four years.

“A warm and welcoming culture and stunning scenery make Canada both a perennial favourite for Australian travellers, and very well suited to Travelmarvel’s flexible style of itinerary,” he said.

“Our 2016 season was a sell out and our remaining 2017 departures are almost all booked out, so we are seeing huge demand.”

Travelmarvel’s Canada & Alaska program features touring and cruising options for Alaska, east and west coast Canada, and New England in addition Great Rail Journeys in the US.

Alaska cruising is with the renowned Holland America line and rail journey options include the famous Rocky Mountaineer and VIA Rail’s The Canadian. In the US, Great Rail Journey itineraries include Amtrak’s California Zephyr, City of New Orleans and Southwest Chief services.

From Jasper guests have the option of continuing across the Rockies on their coach or may choose to enhance their journey by travelling by rail to Vancouver aboard the famous Rocky Mountaineer. Guests then visit Whistler and Victoria before embarking on the ms Volendam for a journey through the icy waters of the Inside Passage to the Alaskan capital of Juneau, followed by Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan.

For those looking to explore the old world charm of the east, the 17 day Eastern Canada & New England Cruise itinerary, from $6,695 per person twin share, includes Niagara Falls, Toronto, Ottawa, Lac-Saint-Joseph, Quebec City and Montreal, in addition to a seven night cruise through Canada’s Maritime provinces and down to Boston.

This year’s program also offers a third winter touring option in the new Winter Wonderland tour. Priced from $5,395 per person twin share, this 11 day itinerary with February and March departures makes its way from Vancouver through the snow-capped Rockies to Calgary.  Guests can then choose to extend their tour with a Northern Lights Experience – a three day adventure to the Alberta town of Fort McMurray, where guests visit a private Aurora viewing site.
