Travelmarvel Delivers More with New Africa Program

Travelmarvel has announced it is doubling the number of departures to Africa in 2015 to meet increased demand for the destination.

Two new itineraries, the addition of Tanzania, the chance to enhance trips with extensions such as Blue Train Gorillas of Rwanda, or Zanzibar and the inclusion of all internal flights are just a handful of the highlights in its new brochure, which is available now.

This is the second year the premium tour operator has operated an Africa program and the new 48-page brochure offers a choice of nine itineraries, covering the iconic highlights and game parks of South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania, and ranging from 11 to 31 days in length.

New itineraries include the 20-day African Odyssey, which features three nights in South Africa’s Cape Town and two nights in the Kruger National Park before heading to Victoria Falls and the Chobe River, where guests can choose to upgrade to Ichobezi Safari boat, before concluding in Kenya; unnamed (14)and the 14-day Kenya and Tanzania Adventure which takes guests on a wildlife and cultural adventure through both countries, staying at some of the finest game lodges and camps.

Travelmarvel prides itself on offering premium travel at exceptional value and once again, this is evident throughout the new brochure.

A portfolio of carefully designed Insider Experiences are the stand out highlights of each Travelmarvel itinerary and for 2015, include: the chance to ‘live like a local’ with a visit to a Maasai Village to learn local about the local way of life; the chance to enjoy ‘a taste of Africa’ with culinary experiences including a bush dinner under the African night sky; and ‘special stays’featuring exceptional game lodges and camps offering the chance to spot Africa’s ‘big five’ on exclusive 4WD game drives.

Travelmarvel’s accommodation throughout Africa comprises hand-picked lodges, camps and hotels, including ‘special stays’ at the Shishangeni Private Lodge in South Africa’s Kruger National Park and the Kati Kati Camp in the Serengeti.

New tour extensions for 2015 include a four day stay at a secluded beach getaway in Zanzibar; and the chance to upgrade to a two night Ichobezi Safari cruise on select Chobe River dates. These join the Blue Train and Gorillas of Rwanda in Travelmarvel’s portfolio of Africa extensions.

Lead in tour is the 11-day Southern Africa Discovery from Cape Town to Johannesburg which sees guests travelling along the Garden Route via Oudtshoorn, Knysna and Port Elizabeth before flying to the Kruger National Park for two nights and then travelling by land to Johannesburg for a night.

Priced from $4,495 per person, twin share, the trip includes 17 meals, 10 nights premium accommodation and a range ofInsider Experiences such as the chance to try African drumming before a welcome dinner of Cape Malay cuisine in Cape Town, a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula, visiting the Featherbed Nature Reserve near Knysna and two nights in the Kruger National Park staying in a luxurious suite with private game viewing deck, game drives and an outdoor boma dinner under the stars.
