Travelmarvel is taking its Great Rail Journeys portfolio beyond Europe in 2017 to offer an even wider choice of destinations ranging from USA to India, China, Japan and New Zealand.

Available in travel agencies now, Travelmarvel’s new Great Rail Journeys 2017 brochure offers a choice of 31 itineraries, made possible through an exclusive partnership with award winning UK-based rail travel company Great Rail Journeys.

The program is designed to capture the golden era of rail travel, when the train was more than just the mode of transport but the highlight itself.

What makes Travelmarvel’s Great Rail Journeys stand out in the market is the fact that they are the only portfolio of fully escorted rail holidays available to Australians and New Zealanders.

Each departure is accompanied throughout by a dedicated English-speaking Tour Manager who handles all elements of the tour, from ticketing to ensuring guests are personally guided to their platforms and to their seats. Also included in every journey is all premium centrally located accommodation, airport and hotel transfers and selected excursions, entrance fees, many meals, sightseeing and tipping.

From travelling the Italian coastline to traversing rugged gorges in New Zealand, stopping off to enjoy Mardi Gras in New Orleans or taking in views of Mount Everest, Travelmarvel’s Great Rail Journeys offers something to suit all tastes.

Travelmarvel is featuring many of the world’s most iconic trains and railways in its program: from the world’s slowest express train, the Glacier Express in Switzerland; to the high speed bullet train in Japan; the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway; India’s Palace on Wheels; the infamous Belmond British Pullman; and the West Highland Line in Scotland, whose Jacobite Steam Train starred as the Hogwarts Express in the famous Harry Potter films.

To celebrate the new program, Travelmarvel is offering a range of ‘Earlybird Specials’, including discounts of up to $1,000 per couple off itineraries. Those who book European rail and cruise combinations will receive free return economy flights, inclusive of air taxes. All offers are limited and available until sold out.

Its popularity has turned full circle in recent years with people returning to rail more than ever. We received fantastic feedback for our inaugural Great Rail Journeys program, especially for the fact that our itineraries are fully chaperoned. We take care of everything, enabling guests to sit back, relax and watch the world roll by. It’s proving a strong selling point.”
