Travelport Appoints Christopher Engle as Vice President, Airline Services

Travelport, a leading distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, today announces the appointment of Christopher Engle as vice president, Airline Services for The Americas. In his new role, Engle holds responsibility for managing the company’s airline relationships in The Americas region.

Most recently, Engle served as vice president, New Market Development Brazil, Xerox Services (formerly ACS) where he brought new outsourcing capabilities to one of Xerox’s most important growth regions. Previously at Xerox, Engle served as vice president of Sales, Global Travel and Transportation Solutions where he led the organization which closed major outsourcing agreements for some of the world’s most respected travel brands, including Orbitz, priceline.com, BCD Travel, Travelocity Cruises, Delta Airlines, and Virgin America.

Engle began his career in the travel industry, first as a sales executive for American Airlines and then with Sabre, as one of the sales leaders for the company’s first generation of corporate booking tools, Sabre Business Travel Solutions.

According to Derek Sharp, group vice president & managing director, Global Distribution Services and Sales, Travelport, “Chris has a wealth of experience managing relationships with customers in the travel and airline sectors. This makes him an ideal fit for this role.”
