Travelport, a leading distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry, and the Atlanta Chapter of TiE,  a global, not-for-profit organization created for the advancement of entrepreneurship, today announce a new partnership with the goal of benefiting local area entrepreneurs.

Through TiE’s “Enterprise to Entrepreneurs” (E2E) program which connects TiE entrepreneurs with global corporations to nurture innovation, local area entrepreneurs will now have the opportunity to join and utilize the Travelport Developer Network.

According to Vik Vijayvergiya, senior director, Global Distribution Sales and Service, Travelport, “Our new partnership with the TiE Atlanta chapter is aligned with Travelport’s technology approach which centers on an open platform, in order to allow flexible access to content and services.  We believe that by partnering with TiE Atlanta, we can encourage local entrepreneurs to create the next great travel tool, app or solution and also, it provides us with a mechanism for discovering interesting new start-ups in our local area.”

Travelport’s Developer Network provides third party developer members with full access to key software resources, dedicated help and support, and an entry in the Travelport Developer Directory. Created to facilitate the faster introduction of innovative new applications to its 67,000 travel agency customers worldwide, the dedicated developer program offers extensive commercial, technical and support benefits to approved developer members. These include:

  • Developer tools with comprehensive resources, such as sample code, schema and demos to help create exciting solutions on Travelport’s platform;
