Travelport to update industry partners with roadshows in Australia

After investing the equivalent of AUD 600 million on a series of major enhancements to its Travel Commerce Platform, Travelport is making a big push in Australia to update its industry partners with six roadshows in Adelaide (22 Apr), Perth (24 Apr), Sydney (29 Apr), Melbourne (6 May), Brisbane (7 May) and Gold Coast (8 May). Both airline and travel agency partners are welcome to the hands-on roadshow.

Travelport is rolling out new technologies that benefit partners on both sides of its travel commerce business.

A good example is Travelport’s Merchandising Platform, with its Rich Content and Branding feature, that allows airlines to market and retail their products more effectively with rich visuals and detailed descriptions. With this feature, airlines and other travel content providers can employ more sophisticated retailing techniques to drive sales of core fares as well as ancillaries and “optional extras” such as choice seats, bags and lounge passes.

For travel agents, these technologies are redefining their selling experience with unrivaled ease in fare shopping and opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling, all within the same screen view. Travelport’s drive towards Beyond Air innovation has resulted in its industry leading hospitality inventory of 580,000 unique hotel properties as well as car rentals and rail services. These are new revenue generation opportunities for travel agents that will be demonstrated at the roadshows.
