Afternoon tea will be served on the sixth floor heated outdoor Terrace, the perfect urban oasis to enjoy a tea tower set for a queen. Stretching the full length of a city block and lined with palm trees, the Terrace at Shangri-La is a tranquil retreat above the hustle and bustle of the luxury retail shops along Alberni Street below. During Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, guests can enjoy corridor views of the North Shore mountains, as well as live music courtesy of Vancouver based harpist, Janelle Nadeau.
Executive Chef Ken Nakano and his team of expert pastry chefs have created a lavish afternoon tea tower, with savoury items such as: Smoked Sockeye Salmon Bagels with Lemon Caper Cream Cheese; Pacific Shrimp Salad Éclair with Curried Celery and Chives; and Warm Artichoke and Spinach Tarts with Pine Nuts and Feta Cheese. Sweets include: Lavender Cupcake with Vanilla Cream; Lychee Macaron; and Triple Chocolate Mousse. Each tea tower also comes with afternoon tea classics, including butter and raisin-infused scones with house made clotted cream and a selection of preserves.
Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea is available exclusively on Sunday, 8 May 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is priced at CAD 60 per person.
