Tripedition, a leading provider of bus tours from New York City throughout the United States and Canada, is once again planning for the popular Washington D.C.

Cherry Blossom Festival. The company will offer bus tours during the festival, tentatively scheduled this year from March 20 to April 13, departing from New York City or Boston.

The Cherry Blossom Festival is a three-week long celebration and includes a variety of cultural and artistic programs throughout its duration. This year’s event is the 102nd anniversary of the gift of cherry blossom trees to the United States from Japan. Actual festival dates may change based on the predicted blooming of the trees and the weather as the festival nears.

Tripedition offers fun-filled getaways for customers that include opportunities to tour in and around Washington, D.C., to see such sites as the White House, Capitol building, and many historical monuments, with plenty of time to enjoy the cherry trees along the Tidal Basin and the Potomac River. Guests will also have the chance to take a Potomac River cruise, enjoying excellent views of the river bank framed with cherry trees in bloom.

Our tours to see the Cherry Blossoms in Washington D.C. are among our most popular attractions, and this year we plan to offer several tours of different lengths throughout the three weeks of the festival,” noted Nan Chen, Manager, Tripedition. “Travel from Boston or New York City to Washington, D.C. allows us to offer tours of shorter durations, enabling people to experience a quick getaway. Depending on the length of tour, there may be other stops included in the itinerary. But the real star of the show is the time spent strolling among the blooming cherry trees, which provides a feast for the eyes and a welcome sign of spring.”

“Tripedition’s Cherry Blossom tours fill up quickly, and we recommend bookmarking our website,http://www.tripedition.com, and checking back often,” continued Chen. “We will be posting itineraries and tour dates as soon as the final dates of the festival are announced. While the East Coast is experiencing a particularly cold and snowy winter, it’s never too early to set your sights on spring. The Cherry Blossom Tour is a perfect way to celebrate the end of winter, and enjoy the picturesque views of trees in bloom against the historical backdrop of our nation’s Capital.”
