Mandarin Orchard Singapore’s Japanese-inspired international buffet restaurant, Triple Three, brings the hugely popular Hokkaido Harvests food promotion back for ten days only, from 11 to 21 October 2018.

Diners can expect to sample the finest harvests and local delicacies from Japan’s northernmost prefecture most famous for its top-quality seafood and produce.

The promotional dinner buffet showcases the freshest bounty from the waters of Hokkaido, with Hamachi (amberjack), Hon-maguro (bluefin tuna)and Hotate (scallops) topping the list of highlights on Triple Three’s premium array of sushi and sashimi. There is also the generous bowl of Chirashi Don—a luscious assortment of raw fish topped on a bed of seasoned sushi rice.

Certainly worth diving into is the mouth-watering spread of seafood-on-ice that includes Tarabagani (king crab), Zuwaigani (snow crab)and Shirotsubi Sakamushi (white top shell).

Over at the robatayaki station, chefs will be grilling fresh meat, seafood, and vegetables to perfection over aromatic charcoal. Diners are also in for a treat with the oven-roasted Hokkaido wagyu, Maguro Kama Yaki (grilled bluefin tuna), and Ikameishi (simmered squid stuff with sweet rice) at the carving section of the buffet.

Other must-try highlights of the dinner buffet include Konishin Kanroni (small herring cooked in thick soya sauce), Hizu Namasu (sliced salmon head with vegetable), and Takoni Tsuke (simmered octopus in special soya sauce).

Executive Sous Chef Sam Chin takes it up a notch with his special creation, the Lobster Uniyaki—a delicious twist on Triple Three’s signature Lobster Mentaiyaki. Indulge to your heart’s content in oven-baked lobster topped with a decadent layer of Chef Sam’s creamy sauce, made from silky smooth uni paste, shio, and mayonnaise.

Round up the feast with an extensive variety of Hokkaido desserts such as Hokkaido Baked Cheesecake, Dorayaki (honey pancake with Hokkaido red bean filling), Oshiruko (Hokkaido red bean soup with mochi), and the Hokkaido Sea Salt Ice Cream.

Hokkaido Harvests at Triple Three opens on 11 October with a line-up of launch festivities featuring a tuna-cutting ceremony that showcases the chef’s skill and precision, and a kagami biraki ceremony—the Japanese tradition of breaking a sake barrel to signal the start of a special occasion and the strengthening of friendships.

Hokkaido Harvests dinner buffet at Triple Three is priced at $138++ for adults and $48++ for children (ages 6 to 12 years old). Diners can also opt for the $158++ package that includes one bottle of Sake Kunimare Hokkaido.
