True Arena Hua Hin Joins Hands With Prachuap Kiri Khan Province And Local Businesses To Boost Tourism With “Run For Hua Hin” Half Marathon
True Arena Hua Hin, the premier sports and lifestyle complex at the heart of Hua Hin town, together with Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and local businesses, will jointly hold a special half marathon event “Run For Hua Hin”, scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 9th, 2016 at True Arena Hua Hin, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.
The event will boost the image and confidence in Hua Hin as a tourism destination while also Increasing visitors and increasing revenue for the town. The event is supported by major Thai sponsors such as Blu Port Resort Mall, True Corporation Plc., Thai Life Insurance Plc., MahaSamutr by Pace Development Corporation Plc., Gems Gallery International Manufacturer Co., Ltd., as well as Proud Real Estate affiliates Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Park and Intercontinental Hua Hin Resort.and Park 24 Project.
Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, former deputy prime minister of Thailand and President of the press conference, said: “Run For Hua Hin will be one of the big running events in Hua Hin with a target of 10,000 runners. The event will highlight Hua Hin as a key destination for tourism again, and will build confidence among Thai and foreign tourists and the tourism sector as a whole. The provincial governor himself is leading the organizing committee for this event, working closely with other government agencies and private sector representatives, including True Arena Hua Hin. I would like to invite runners, athletes and tourists who love running to join the race then relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the town. Hua Hin is ready to welcome visitors and participants to join the run. All those who like to exercise, amateurs and professionals alike from Thailand and overseas can enter without any subscription fees. The run will create a fun, exciting atmosphere to help revive the travel business by welcoming everyone. The route takes in picturesque sights and landmarks of the town such as Blu Port Resort Mall, Chatchai Market, Clock Tower, and Rajabhakti Park, which showcase Hua Hin’s diversity for visitors, including its culture, history, marine attractions and sports tourism.
Dr. Tawee Narissirikul, Prachuap Kiri Khan Governor said: “The Half Marathon race is intended to stimulate the tourism industry in the province and build confidence among tourism operators. For this reason, we have partnered with major tourism based businesses such as Proud Real Estate Company Limited and other leading private companies. The event committee has been established from various agencies, both public and private sector, in order to facilitate smooth operations and to ensure safety along the race route, which will be managed by the Royal Thai Police. We also have cooperation from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the office of Hua Hin Municipality and the Sports Authority of Thailand to promote the event through various media channels such as radio, television, print media, websites and social media channels. The event is expected to boost bookings at hotels, restaurants and tourism businesses in and around Hua Hin. It will also generate revenue from travellers and event participants who will spend the weekend in Hua Hin. We firmly believe that the Run For Hua Hin will help restore confidence and strengthen Hua Hin’s reputation as a top destination amongst local and international tourists.”

Trophies for winners of the Half Marathon and Mini Marathon will be awarded for the top three winners, men and women of all age groups. Winners of the Fun Run category will receive a t-shirt to wear during the run and a commemorative medal.
