Truffle Indulgence in the Nation’s Capital

The Truffle Festival is a 12 week celebration of the harvest of the Black Winter Truffle grown in the Canberra region. Truffle hunts put the important role of truffle dogs in the spotlight as they sniff out prized Black Winter Truffle, otherwise known as Tuber melanosporum. The opportunity to see locally sourced truffle transformed into exquisite presentation is a sought after experience worldwide.

Enjoy a tour of the National Gallery of Australia followed by the last post ceremony at the Australian War Memorial before join Executive Chef Nitin Kumar and a champagne ambassador from Veuve Clicquot as we celebrate Canberra’s truffle festival with a six course degustation menu. Each course will be perfectly matched with champagne, creating an experience to be cherished.

Wake up the next morning with the possibility of a scenic hot air balloon ride followed by a lavish champagne breakfast. Spend the afternoon with one of Canberra’s award winning truffle growers and participate in a truffle hunt.
