Sydney-Savouring spiced gingerbread at traditional Christmas Markets, admiring snow dusted alpine peaks and following the tempting aromas of warming gluhwein; winter in Europe is a treasure trove for all the senses. Trafalgar’s new Autumn Winter & Spring 2017/18 programme will showcase 34 itineraries, including two new trips and a special tailored Christmas holiday, guaranteed to spread festive cheer and showcase the wonders of a European winter.

Due to the popularity of Delights of London and Paris in Trafalgar’s summer programme, this 9-day itinerary has been introduced into the seasonal offering allowing clients to explore these beautiful cities at any time of year. Dusted in snow, London and Paris come to life in winter with high streets and laneways adorned with twinkling lights, Parisian farmers markets brim with seasonal specialities and London’s parks glisten with frost.

Another new introduction following extensive research and listening to guest feedback is the 7-day Festive St Petersburg and Moscow. Clients can witness these two Russian cities transform for the Christmas season and immerse in Moscow’s magical ‘Journey into Christmas’ festival complete with ice rinks, snow sculptures and light installations before delving into the history books in St Petersburg.

After sell-out years running out of Australia, Trafalgar has made its 15-day tailored European White Christmas Delights & New Year Lights trip available to global travellers for the first time. Clients can discover the secrets of champagne production, experience a white Christmas in St Moritz and sing in the New Year over regional food and wine in Tuscany.
