For the second year running, Australian readers of International Traveller magazine have voted Fiji as the best place in the world for beach and family holidays, as part of the magazine’s second annual Readers’ Choice Awards announced this month.
International Traveller readers voted Fiji ahead of Hawai’i, Bali, Thailand, Tahiti, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, Greek Islands, Mauritius and the Philippines as the world’s best place for a “beachy island holiday”.
Fiji was also voted once again as the best destination for a family holiday, ahead of runners-up Disneyland, Bali, Hawai’i and New Zealand.
International Traveller is a strictly-independent Australian bi-monthly magazine and website created to explore the full gamut of travel experiences the world has to offer. Now in its second year, the International Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards attracted thousands of entries from readers voting for the best destinations, experiences, hotels and airlines of 2015.
“These awards re-affirm the preference most Australians have for Fiji as an ideal holiday destination, which grows year on year. We’re thrilled with this recognition,” said Tourism Fiji’s regional director for Australia Carlah Walton.
