egtmedia59Two new restaurants are opening at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa this summer, taking the place of the existing Ono Bar & Grill and Tropica Restaurant & Bar restaurants.

The Westin Maui Resort & Spa appointed Connecticut-based CB5 Hospitality Consulting, a restaurant concept firm, to manage the daily operations of the Sugar House Island Kitchen, which will replace the Tropica Restaurant & Bar on KaanapaliBeachwalk. The CB5 Hospitality Council will also design the menu and conceptual theme of the restaurant.

CB5 Hospitality Consulting’s clients include Azure at the Royal Hawaiian, a Luxury Collection Resort and Beachhouse at the MoanaSurfrider, a Westin Resort.

Relish Burger Bistro, replacing the poolside Ono Bar & Grill, is an outdoor dining restaurant that will serve American and Island-style foods, including Kobe beef burgers and HuliHuli grilled chicken. The restaurant will serve local beer and seasonal specials.

A spokeswoman for the Westin Maui Resort & Spa said she expects the restaurant transitions to be made mid-summer, as the resort finalizes the details on the cost and scope of the changes.
