Located in the heart in Central, Tycoon Tann and Mod Bar has been bringing an innovative and modern Chinese dining experience through food, drinks design and art. This summer, Chef Wong Wai Man will impress with his take on modern Chinese cuisine inspired by seasonal ingredients, he also continues to reinterpret and innovate many of the much-loved classic dishes. The new summer menu will refresh and charm.

With the weather warming up, a highlight of the summer menu is the Mini Double-Melon Soup with Pearl Meat(HKD198).  Melon has been the popular summer ingredient in Chinese cuisine and it is at its best during May to September in the summer, especially known to be a moisturizing soup to cool off the heat. This 5-hour melon soup filled with Canadian scallops, Telosma cordata from Yunnan, fresh crab meat and prawns will get guests ready for summer. The deliciously light Chilled Japanese Greenhouse Cherry Tomato (HKD78) is a freshly prepared vegetarian salad with lemon jelly and aged vinegar perfect to start off the meal.

If seafood is your fare, Steamed Fillet of Garoupa on Lotus Leaf with Black Fungus and Cordyceps Sinensis(HKD598) will be your choice. The fresh garoupa is selected specifically for its renowned tenderness and sweetness, steamed with Cordyceps Sinensis from Yunnan and lotus leaf is ideal for those looking for a taste of elegance. New dishes to whet the palate include Stir-fried Prawns with Fresh Peppers and Basil in Casserole(HKD248) – this layered dish features tender prawns balanced by fresh basil and punctuated with fresh peppers. The Deep-fried Wonton with Sweet and Sour Sauce (HKD128) is deeply fried to tender and golden, the dish is complete with fresh tomatoes, green, yellow and red peppers, shrimps, scallops and with a highlight of tomato and vinegar sauce that encompass texture and flavours.

For those partial to a cooling cocktail, Mod Bar has a host of soothing new tea concoctions this summer. Floral tea lovers can enjoy the Secret Garden (HKD138), a refreshing blend of house-infused lavender gin, earl grey tea and syrup served in a Chinese tea pot. Taste of the East (HKD148) is another refreshing treat for those with a sweet tooth; a combination of house-infused cucumber gin, St. Germain, Cointreau, earl grey tea and fresh cucumber.
