U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Roger Dow today released the following statement applauding the passage of H.R. 2843, the PreCheck Expansion Act:
“America’s travel community applauds the House for passing a commonsense measure to encourage and simplify the PreCheck application process. By expanding enrollment options to new secure technologies like kiosks and tablets, and adopting a phased approach to requiring multiple IDs for enrollment, the House did much to secure a bright future for one of the most successful security programs of the post-9/11 era.
“We would particularly like to thank Chairman Katko, Ranking Member Thompson and Members of the House Homeland Security Committee for their leadership in recognizing the need for commonsense reforms that bolster aviation security while improving the traveler experience and the national economy.”
