U Won’t Want To Leave….

Amid the many awards and glowing reviews that U’s deluxe hotels and resorts receive there is a constant stream of comments regarding U’s outstanding attitude to hospitality and offering their guests a memorable and rewarding stay.

The guest is then offered a choice of soap from a selection of local fragrances and the traditional welcome drink is eschewed in favor of the guest selecting their choice of beverage from the minibar. Other U touches to be found in every hotel are complimentary high speed Wi-Fi, free bike hire, in-room music and, most impressively of all, a la carte breakfast which can be taken at any time of day and at any location within the property.

UPB Swimming Pool 11But of course these U touches could be viewed as “gimmicky” if the rest of the U experience did not live up to the hype which is why a quick glance at the aforementioned Trip Advisor reviews will reveal comments such as “The bed is more comfortable than my one at home”, “The best service I have ever received” and “I didn’t want to leave”.

U Hotels & Resorts started in June 2008 with their first property U Chiang Mai, located in a culturally important listed building and former governor’s mansion with the world-famous Walking Street literally on the doorstep.

On the cusp of U’s plans for their home base in Thailand are the openings of U Sukhumvit Bangkok, U Sathorn Bangkok and U Zenmaya Phuket with further properties due to open in Samui, Hua Hin and Pattaya. Locations further afield include five more properties in India, three in Vietnam and another World Heritage-located resort in Luang Prabang, Laos offering a total of close to 4000 keys to be operational by 2015.
