Based on the results of International Air Transport Association (IATA) follow-up audit for the compliance with the highest operational safety standards, Ukraine International Airlines received the new IOSA Certificate which will take legal effect on June 17, 2015.
In February 2015 Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) has once again successfully completed the audit for modern operational safety requirements compliance and received yet another IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) Certificate. The IOSA audit covers all aspects of an airline`s operations affecting flight safety, including maintenance and flight operation, ground handling, cargo transportation, and company management.
Remarkably, UIA has volunteered to undergo an Enhanced IOSA (E-IOSA) – the new procedure based on achieving the four pillars: Continuity, Focus on Implementation, Reliability of Quality Assurance, and Standardization. UIA became the first airline in the CIS to complete the E-IOSA process taking advantage of a significantly broader information base, thus providing increased value and continuity to the audit result. Starting September 2015 E-IOSA will become mandatory for all renewal audits.
“Back in 2005 UIA was the first airline in the CIS and the 51st of 265 IATA members to have successfully completed the IOSA audit, – noted Georgy Zotov, UIA Vice President Quality Management. – Since then, every two years we complete the IOSA audit and every time receive the new IOSA Certificate. We are very proud that the recent audit has once again confirmed the most prestigious international aviation organization has a high opinion of the leasing Ukraine`s carrier`s operations. Flight safety has always been and still is the number 1 priority for UIA. We keep on improving operational safety and quality management, toughening the requirements, while complying with all processes and procedures. I can state with a deep assurance that Ukraine International is a safe and reliable carrier operating on Ukrainian and international markets of passenger and cargo air transportation”.
