Ukraine’s travel exhibition opens WildCard Programme

Applications are open for the Ukraine International Travel Market (UITM) new WildCard Programme.

unnamed (1)The programme aims to assist emerging destinations in promoting their country/region to Ukraine’s tourism industry by offering one destination free participation at UITM 2014, taking place on 1 – 3 October in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Held for the last 20 years, UITM traditionally marks the beginning of the region’s autumn-winter tourism season and annually connects travels companies from over 40 countries and regions to the Ukraine market. International exhibitors are given the opportunity to exchange ideas and showcase the latest travel packages to over 14,000 travel agents, tour operators and travel industry contacts. 

National and regional tourist boards who have never participated in UITM are eligible to apply. The winner will receive the following at UITM 2014:

1) Complimentary 6sqm stand to showcase their destination
2) Free listing in the official exhibition catalogue
3) Direct e-mailing of their news to the UITM database of 68,000 travel trade representatives
4) Posting of news on the official website
5) UITM press announcement about their participation

The country/region that are awarded the WildCard 2014 grant will have the opportunity to gauge the market potential for their destination and gain vital contacts amongst Ukraine’s travel industry.

Applications for participation will be accepted until the 15th August 2014. The winner will be determined by an online open vote and results will be announced on the 29th August 2014.
