Unique Adventures in Thailand!

July 4, 2013 Destination Thailand No Comments Email Email

We all know Thailand is good for cheap massage, tasty food and gorgeous beaches. These are good things! However, now more than ever before travellers can easily get out of their comfort zone and book unique adventures that will blow their mind in ways they’d never dreamed possible!

In June this year, the Tourism Authority of Thailand held their Thailand Travel Mart+ Conference in Bangkok. In attendance were tons of amazing operators from throughout the greater Mekong region.

523304 Chris Ball is CEO of AdventureHoney, an Australian based online adventure tours and activities marketplace and was hosted guest at TTM+.

“I’m tremendously excited by the range of awesome new experiences provided by some of the best adventure operators I’ve ever met! We can’t wait to start selling the best of the best on AdventureHoney, some of which will go live within days,” said Mr Ball.

There’s a wide range of unique adventure experiences that exist in Thailand and the greater Mekong region. The trouble for travellers is that the best ones are hard to find.

Many of the best operators don’t have relationships with big wholesalers/overseas travel agents and their own websites (if they have one!) often lack the ability to take bookings online.

AdventureHoney provides a hybrid solution for this problem. The website permits any operator to connect direct with the consumer online, which helps operators grow their business and, travellers find and book unique adventure tours and activities.

An example of an area that is typically on the tourist’s radar is Khao Yai. Here there’s a UNESCO world heritage listed site where adventurous souls can be trekking through dry, evergreen forest within just a couple of hours by car from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok! Mr Ball said: “We can’t wait to help travellers discover this part of Thailand! Whether tracking wild elephants, exploring bat filled caves or discovering your zen in a Buddhist jungle temple, there’s some very cool stuff!”

For independent travellers hungry to discover something out of the ordinary, something special that will make their Thai experience more than a daily massage, Pad Thai and the beach…get excited!
