Unique Riverland Property Wins Inaugural ‘Self Contained Accommodation’ Category In 2015 South Australian Tourism Awards!
Friday the 13th turned out to be a VERY LUCKY day for multi-award winning accommodation operators, Rick and Cathy Edmonds. Their Riverland property, The Frames, was voted best Self Contained Accommodation in the State.
The 32nd awards were announced last Friday night (November 13) in a glittering gala presentation at the Adelaide Convention Centre in front of over 600 representatives of the South Australian tourism industry.
The category was introduced this year after a complete review of the Tourism Awards program at a national level. The Frames entry will now go forward to represent South Australia at the national tourism awards, to be held at the Melbourne Convention Centre on Friday February 5th, 2016.
The property won the best New Tourism Development category in the 2014 South Australian Tourism Awards and went on to win Silver at the Australian Tourism Awards.
Located in the riverside township of Paringa, near Renmark, The Frames is an ultra-luxury accommodation complex. The development is the result of extensive research in both the need for high quality, environmentally sustainable accommodation in the Riverland, and the desire for Rick and Cathy to expand their successful ‘Emaroo Cottages’ business which now offers self-contained, deluxe accommodation across two states.
Designed by award-winning architect, Paul Pruszinski, The Frames features three distinct retreats of uncompromising luxury, set on a cliff-top with views over the River Murray.
Each opulent retreat is totally private and features a pool, Jacuzzi and a state of the art entertainment facility.
