United Airlines Agency Recognition Dinner

March 3, 2014 Photo Gallery No Comments Email Email

United hosted around 50 of Australia’s key travel agency owners and managers at the annual recognition dinner.

The event took place at the iconic Dunbar House in Watsons Bay and was hosted by United managing director, Japan and Pacific sales, Matt Miller, with support from United’s Director Australia and New Zealand, Alison Espley and the Australian sales team.

The event had an exciting highlight early in the evening this year, with the company announcing that they will introduce nonstop flights between Melbourne and its hub at Los Angeles International Airport, effective Oct. 28, 2014 (eastbound). The good news continued to flow as United also announced that it will service this new route with a state of the art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.

United is the North American launch customer for the 787-9, and this will be its first international deployment of the aircraft type. The event was the perfect opportunity to provide a company update to key travel industry managers, as well as to thank them for their ongoing support.
