Six Senses Zighy Bay in collaboration with Hoopla Education presents a unique edutainment program to deepen health-conscious eating habits in children from ages 1 to 10 alongside their parents. The series of experiential learning workshops runs from October 18 to 22, 2015.

The programs will be conducted by Hoopla Education Specialist Artist Paul Frank Wagner, who is a world-renowned conceptual artist based in Paris who links healthy eating with inspired art creations. He uses fruits and vegetables as his inspiration to appeal to children’s creativity, raises awareness to start healthy routines at an early age and draws parallels between nourishing foods and aesthetic works of art.

Every workshop is subdivided into three sessions:

Introduction: Paul begins with a brief introduction on the nutritional tips of the day.
Demonstration: Paul demonstrates the simple art techniques that will be utilized.
Exercise: Children and parents create a ‘healthy-eating habit’ series of art starting from tasting, coloring, painting, molding to art installations.

Sunday, October 18, 2015 – Texture and Taste Exploration.
Guessing foods through tangible exploration: Children guess different types of food by putting their hands in boxes and experiencing the different shapes and textures.
Food tasting: Children sample different types of foods by physically tasting them.
Installation of dried citrus fruits: Children learn the difference between dry and fresh citrus.
