A flagship new 13-day South America Landscapes trip across Brazil, Argentina and Chile is the headline act in the new South and Central America 2017 programme from the world leaders in guided holidays, Trafalgar.
The new South America Landscapes guided holiday includes the continent’s hottest highlights in less than two weeks from Santiago to Rio de Janeiro. Experience the UNESCO World Heritage site, Iguassu Falls, climb to new heights at the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio and enjoy a Corcovado lake cruise in Chile plus much more besides. Four internal flights are included with accommodation in centrally-located, five-star hotels in Rio, Buenos Aires and Santiago.
Also new for 2017 is a Paracas and Nazca Lines post-extension to the popular 21-day Cultures and Contrasts of South America itinerary from Rio de Janeiro to Lima discovering the natural wonders, culture and culinary secrets of Chile, Argentina, Brazil and Peru. Guests can also choose to extend the holiday with a four-day Brazilian Amazon pre-extension or five-day Easter Island post extension.
Other highlights from the 2017 programme include visiting a Samba school in Rio for a Cultural Insight to see how the school operates and prepares for Carnival, plus meeting a Local Specialist in Peru’s Sacsayhuaman, an impressive site of ruins towering over Cusco, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Authentic Accommodation revealing the culture and heritage of each destination features throughout the programme such as the Palacio Del Inka in Cusco, where Trafalgar guests stay and explore the courtyards, columns and passageways of this former Incan Temple of the Sun.
Matthew Cameron-Smith, Managing Director of Trafalgar Australia, commented “Trafalgar’s South America holidays offer the full range of travel experiences, from north to south. Our guests enjoy extraordinary wilderness and nature including Iguassu Falls, Galapagos Islands, the rain forests of Costa Rica and peaks of Patagonia,”
“We make this exciting continent extremely accessible with hand selected hotels and, of course, our Travel Directors who know local customs and languages and have tapped into the secrets the locals normally keep to themselves. South America really is a destination like no other with each country possessing its own unique rhythm, flavour and culture and our new programme embraces this diversity to show guests the many sides of this colourful continent,” continued Cameron-Smith.
There are 18 handcrafted itineraries and four extensions giving guests easy access to the destination with each of the six trip styles delivering rich experiences and tapping into the heartbeat of Latin America.
