Each School of Life experience is tailor-made to the individual and begins with a pre-arrival personal questionnaire which assists School of Life facilitators to craft a bespoke itinerary according to the guest’s personal goals and needs.

The holistic experience continues upon arrival at Spa Village Resort Tembok, Bali, with the guest engaging in a variety of personalised itinerary activities, ranging from physical to therapeutic. Daily experiences include Movement and Awareness Practices, Wellness Workshops, Spa Treatments, Creativity Classes and Cooking Classes.

Healthy and sustainable cuisine practices are a big focus of the School of Life programme and the resort’s newly appointed Executive Chef, Martin Buchele, crafts menus which a strong focus on healthy, fresh and raw foods. Chef Martin further strengthens his philosophy by taking guests on market visits and offering cooking classes which allow guests to take home easy, sustainable lessons.

Spa Village Resort Tembok Bali’s SOL programme not only ensures guests depart feeling relaxed and rejuvenated from their retreat, but also with new holistic skills which they can adopt for a long-term healthier lifestyle. The programme is uniquely designed to go beyond the holiday and provide guests with the lessons and tools to take home.

Prior to departure, each participant therefore goes through a School of Life closure session which helps summarise the experience and plan their path to renewal. A ‘survival’ kit to help them get through their first few days post School of Life is provided, as well as a SOL Sustenance guide and introduction to the email-based SOL Community. This opens the door to continued practice amongst the community, sharing tips, information and support.

School of Life offers not only respite from the challenges of modern life, but also an opportunity to step back, self-reflect and learn how to approach life differently. The balanced itinerary provides an opportunity for pure relaxation achieved through a focused regard to meals, exercise and creative expression.

Prices begin at AUD381 per room per night for the five-day, four-night School of Life retreat, based on double occupancy, encompassing accommodation and an integrated daily schedule of meals, activities and spa as well as return airport transfers.
