The Upper House Spa in Gothenburg, Sweden, has been named winner of the prestigious World Luxury Spa Awards 2019 in the national category “Luxury Hotel Spa”.

The prize ceremony took place on 6th July at The State Hermitage Museum Official Hotel in St Petersburg, Russia.

“We are extremely proud of this fine award. The fact that our guests leave such nice reviews about our spa means that our daily commitment gives great results. We work every day with the overall experience and to exceed the expectations of our guests. We take the time because each guest is unique and every experience counts,” says Jenny Hayward, Spa Manager at Upper House Spa.

The Upper House Spa is part of the Upper House Hotel, which in January this year was named Sweden’s best hotel in TripAdvisor’s annual Travelers’ Choice Awards. Upper House Spa has also received previous awards, such as Best Guest Expericence 2018. Receiving the category award in the World Luxury Spa Awards 2019 adds another level of international recognition for Upper House Spa.

“We congratulate this year’s winners. True luxury is not easily attained. It takes highly efficient and dedicated staff, who are willing to go the extra mile and stop at nothing to ensure that every guest feels cared for and no challenge goes unresolved. This is the definition of luxury. It is what makes the winners shine,” says World Luxury Awards Group Marketing Director Michael Hunter-Smith.
