Urrp! Persistent inflight burper arrested on tarmac
A man has been arrested at the end of an international flight for persistent aggressive burping.
The burper is alleged to have “belched at another passenger” and then fallen onto a small child, the Liverpool Echo reported. The paper ran a picture of the burper in pixelated form, a male passenger being escorted by two police officers.
A passenger on the flight told the paper the man was loud, disruptive “and he wouldn’t stop burping”.
The burping continued, even after the woman sitting next to the burper pleaded with him to stop.

Burrrp!
Finally, the female passenger could take no more and asked cabin crew to intervene and stop the burping.
By that time the flight, from Alicante in Spain, was about to land at Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport. As the plane approached the runway, the burper refused to sit down and then fell over onto a child.
Merseyside police were called to the airport and arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of being drunk on an aircraft.
The airline: Ryanair.
Ryanair has condemned the man’s behaviour, saying it did “not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time”.
