Active European holiday specialist, UTracks announced a new self guided walk around the Greek island of Andros, with its unspoilt beaches, natural springs and archaeological marvels.

Located in the Cyclades archipelago, passionate Andros volunteers commenced, ten years ago, the enormous task of restoring and maintaining the ancient 170 kilometre network of paths. Each hiker is given small pruners and gloves for the duration so they can help with the vegetation maintenance of the trail as they go along.

The UTracks eight day Andros Trail Self Guided Walk allows walkers to choose their own pace each day, through traditionally cultivated land, lush valleys and charming, historical villages. The undulating landscape is dotted with monasteries, waterfalls and ancient stone footpaths, bridges and buildings.

For those travelling in October, Andros will be hosting its second ‘On Foot Festival’, a 15 day walking celebration of the exceptional beauty Andros has to offer.

The self guided Andros Trail Self Guided Walk is priced from $990 per person twin share and departs daily until 24 October 2019. For more information on the tour: https://www.utracks.com/GRW
