The global survey by the IdeaWorksCompany measured the availability of reward seats open to members for travel dates in June through to October 2015. This is the third consecutive year Velocity Frequent Flyer has achieved these rankings.
Velocity Frequent Flyer Chief Executive Officer, Neil Thompson said: “The Switchfly Survey is a key indicator for frequent flyer programs and Velocity maintaining its rankings is evidence that we are continuing to invest in genuine rewards for our members.”
Southwest Airlines and airberlin were ranked equal first, with Air Canada and Singapore Airlines rounding out the global top five.
The survey is based on 7,600 booking queries made across the websites of 25 frequent flyer programs during March 2015, with a percentage success rate calculated for locating availability on top routes.
This follows Velocity winning Program of the Year, Best Customer Service and Best Redemption Ability Middle East and Asia/Oceania region at the 2015 Freddie Awards. The Freddie Awards are considered the highest honour a loyalty program can receive worldwide.
