Venture Holidays has announced that they have become the Australian sales agent for emerging UK based company, Totally India, a fully-comprehensive programme of adventure and cultural holidays for small groups to India.

Robert Mackay, managing director of Venture Holidays says: “With the experience we’ve had handling small group tours, we welcome the opportunity to sell what will be one of Australia’s most comprehensive programmes to India”.

Excellence250X250pxTotally India is the brainchild of Derek Moore – a founding director of Explore Worldwide – and Bashir Sheikh, the owner of one of India’s leading tour operating companies, Delhi-based Sea and Sky.

The programme includes:

Cultural adventures

A blend of culture and adventure, exploring temples and palaces, wandering through bazaars and markets – an insight into India’s culture.

Private tours by motor car
A choice of private vintage car tours (utilising the classic ‘Ambassador’ car) including a 9-day tour of Kerala.

No fewer than 19 festival trips to choose from, including the famous Pushkar Camel Fair and several festivals in Bhutan.

Rail journeys
Exciting rail journeys covering the country, including an epic, once-in-a-lifetime 29-day trip from Delhi to Goa, travelling the entire length of the country!

Trekking tours
A wide choice of trips to discover south and north India on foot, with easy treks of four days and more challenging and longer treks for the accomplished trekker.

Family adventures
A choice of family adventures designed with slower itineraries and shorter journey times including the 9-day Footsteps of the Moghuls which includes the Golden Triangle of Agra, Delhi and Jaipur plus a tiger safari

Wildlife tours
A choice of tours from one to two weeks in duration to discover India’s famous Bengal Tiger population plus elephants, crocodiles and other indigenous wildlife.

Cycling tours
There is no better way to see India than by travelling like the locals by bike. All tours use 24 gear Trek mountain bikes and have full vehicle support.

Food adventures
Small group departures with a Tour Leader and a travelling Chef, exploring the cuisine of both north and south India

Motor adventures
Motor-bike journeys in both north and south India, and a special departure featuring time at a tiger reserve and time at the Indian F1 Grand Prix with a last chance to see Australia’s Mark Webber in action.

Golf adventures
The chance to visit some of India’s iconic sites and also play several different Golf courses on small group departures or as a private car tour.

Budget adventures

Budget tours allow for travellers to decide on how much or how little they would like to spend on sightseeing.

Many itineraries are 9 days in duration, but range from 6 – 29 days and will be led by knowledgeable Indian tour guides who know their own country as no visiting tour leader can.

Mackay continues: “India, which is in fact a sub-continent and not just a country, is one of the most fascinating and diverse countries in the world with so much to offer”.

“It’s fantastic to be a part of Totally India and be able to offer a wealth of small group tours, which cover a great variety of itineraries covering culture, adventure and activities to the travelling Australian market”.

Holidays cost from $635 for the 9-day Discovering the Footsteps of the Mughals tour.  At the other end of the scale for those with more time on their hands, there is the 22 day From the Taj to Little Tibet tour which costs from $1995 per person.

A 60-page brochure is now accessible with tours available for booking through Venture Holidays.
