Transfer comparison site Jayride.com (ASX: JAY) today announced the growth rate of transport companies joining the platform is rapidly accelerating with the number increasing to over 3,000 companies. http://www.tourismthailand.org/landing/landing_en.htmlJayride’s market is growing as more travellers fly and more transport is booked online in the online travel industry. Travellers can now compare and book with over 3,000 transport companies to choose from via the Jayride API, and through relationships with brands including Flight Centre, Rome2Rio and other Jayride partners.

In addition to this significant development, Jayride has been recognised at the inaugural SEMrush Search Awards, winning the ‘Best Use of Data in a Search Campaign’ category award against top digital marketing agencies. The awards celebrate the success of online marketing professionals in the Australian market. Jayride was awarded for its “innovative and creative approaches to managing and manipulating transportation data” to deliver impressive marketing results, revenue and profitability at scale for transport companies that list on the Jayride platform.

Jayride Managing Director Rod Bishop said the award is great validation, for the way it captures transport data and the way it uses that data to power the search experience for travellers, making it truly world-class.

“At Jayride, we are creating a world-first travel booking platform dedicated to transport. We believe that only with this type of platform can any online travel agency provide the best search and booking experience for travellers and transport companies. It all begins with capturing the best data about transport, and then by using that data to power marketing in the right way.”

This flywheel effect is key to Jayride’s growth and is enabled by the way the company uses its data about transport companies and traveller preferences, to connect travellers and transport companies in seamless ways. From the supplier standpoint, having a large number of the top transport companies and the best data available, allows Jayride to successfully power searches and engage more travellers. This is resulting in a continual increase in demand for services with more customer bookings. Over and above capturing data, Jayride is utilising this data to create a competitive advantage and a point of difference.

Jayride is outperforming the market in each of its existing destinations which includes the US – its biggest market, as well as Australia, UK, Ireland, and New Zealand. The company recently launched in 10 new markets – Canada, Italy, France, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Spain, Netherlands, Austria and Cyprus, and now services destinations in over 500 airports worldwide. Jayride is the only publicly-listed group dedicated to transport e-commerce and continues to focus on growth in market share in existing destinations, while also preparing for new and rapid international expansion.

Earlier this year, Jayride also became the first ever crowdfunded exit of a startup in Australia through an equity crowdfunding platform, when it listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Jayride was an early stage startup on equity crowdfunding platform VentureCrowd, where investors participated in a limited-time opportunity to co-invest alongside high-profile lead investors in the company’s series A and pre-IPO funding rounds. Jayride raised $15 million as a private company including three rounds of equity crowdfunding via the VentureCrowd platform. Jayride’s debut on the ASX in January 2018 saw early VentureCrowd investors realise returns of over 100 per cent on their investment from the first crowdfunding round.
