Victoria Wines to Set Course for Fijian Tourism Extravaganza

Victoria Wines, Fiji’s leading wine distributor, is one of the key sponsors of FTE for the third year running. This year, the Food & Wine Festival will open the expo’s official evening line-up of events with a selection of wines matched to a variety of cuisines from Fiji’s best restaurants and resorts to showcase just how sophisticated the food and wine scene in Fiji has become.

“As with last year, international buyers and media at FTE 2016, will have the opportunity to sample a variety of cuisine from top Fiji restaurants and resorts, matched to a selection of wines from New Zealand – Villa Maria, Australia – Yalumba, Chile – Luis Felipe Edwards, Argentina – Trapiche, France – Gerard Bertrand and Italy – Bottega S.P.A,” Victoria Wines Company Director, Ms Kate Vusoniwailala says.

“Fiji is building a reputation in the area of food and wine through the significant efforts of individuals in the tourism sector and resorts dedicated to leveraging the culinary experiences of our overseas guests, and Victoria Wines is happy to be able to contribute positively towards raising the quality of the food and wine experience in Fiji,” Ms Vusoniwailala adds.

A number of key individuals and restaurants have confirmed their participation in this Festival that will showcase their unique cuisine offerings matched by Victoria Wines to a selection of wines.

These include Fiji’s culinary Ambassador Chef Lance Seeto, Italian food importer and Restaurateur Flavio Pisano, new eating destinations ‘Waitui’ at Sofitel and The Rhum-Bar at Denarau Yacht Club, and well known eating destinations, ‘V’ Restaurant at Sofitel, Chantara at Radisson Blu, Hilton Resort & Spa featuring two key restaurants, Flying Fish and Ports O’Call at the Sheraton, The Kitchen from Westin, Mamasake from Oasis Resort and restaurants Chefs, Hard Rock, Mamacita, Indigo, and Bonefish

“The Food & Wine Festival is a unique component of FTE which is well received by overseas participants and Tourism Fiji welcomes Victoria Wines’ commitment to support the development of wine knowledge in Fiji through their sponsorship of the event,” Tourism Fiji’s Global Public Relations Manager, Ms Patricia Mallam says.

The Victoria Wines Food & Wine Festival with ATS Pacific/TTF will be held on 3 May at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club.

The third FTE starts from Tuesday at next week at the Denarau Island Convention Centre.
