Victorinox takes fans to “Places of the World”

Yes, it’s that time of the year again. Snuggling up under the blankets while daydreaming about the next big adventure. This year you can translate your wildest imagination and wanderlust into a Swiss Army Knife, as the Victorinox Classic Limited Edition Design Contest 2018 is on!

Most people are familiar with the classic red design and the unmistakable Victorinox Cross and Shield. Seven years ago, Victorinox decided to open up the design process for the annual limited edition of the small 58mm Classic pocket knife to all designers and Victorinox fans worldwide. This is a chance for all creatives to submit personal design proposals for the next Limited Edition and also to comment and vote on your favourite designs.

“Places of the World” is the overarching theme of the Classic Limited Edition 2018. It is a collection dedicated to all the special places around the world that inspire you.

To enter the contest, simply sign up to Jovoto and upload your design to the site. For a chance to be featured in this year’s project introduction video, post a video of yourself/your work from now to 13 July 2017 on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter saying, “Hi, I’m <your name>” in your native language and, in English: “I’m from/ live in <your country> and I’m looking forward to the Places of the World project because…”, and use the hashtags #MyVictorinox and #VictorinoxPlacesOfTheWorld.

A Victorinox jury will then handpick a shortlist of ideas to go into a global voting. The shortlist will be announced on the Victorinox webpage, social media channels as well as on Jovoto. Victorinox fans will be given the opportunity to decide which 10 designs will be produced and made available to purchase around the globe.

Since 2010, the Classic Limited Edition quickly has become a sought-after item and impulse buy all over the world: either as a little present or a collector’s item.
