Austria is steeped in regal history and its capital city, Vienna, is no exception. The City Palace, a stunning aristocratic residence, is situated in the heart of the city and as part of its ‘Signature Experience’ sightseeing program, APT has arranged for guests travelling on its 2014 Magnificent Europe itineraries to have private access.

Completed in 1694 by Prince Johann Adam Andreas I. of Liechtenstein, the Palace boasts many Baroque features, including one of the best grand staircases in Vienna.

As well as the opportunity to view the Palace’s many artistic masterpieces, APT guests will also enjoy a Cocktail reception followed by an exclusive and private soiree featuring members of the Mozart Boys’ Choir.

Mozart Boys’ Choir of Vienna is a community of boys aged from eight to twenty-one. While the tradition of Boys Choirs in Austria goes back to the 15th century, the present day choir was founded in 1956 to celebrate the 200th birthday of Wolfgang Amadaeus Mozart. Today the choir performs at private events both at home and abroad.
