The airline revealed that an extra 500 flights will be added to these routes in the coming months. As of 10 June 2015, routes from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Nha Trang will have a total of 20 return flights, 12 return flights and five return flights respectively till 9 August 2015. The Ho Chi Minh City and Hai Phong route will have five return flights from 10 June 2015 till 31 December 2015.
Earlier this year, Vietnam’s fastest growing carrier had already added 1,500 flights across its airline network to meet rising demand during the peak season.
Desmond Lin, Director of Business Development at Vietjet said, “We have seen a high demand on daily routes from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Hai Phong. Over the summer, these routes are overloaded due to the increase in travel for both business and leisure. Therefore, we would like to ease the demand by adding thousands of extra seats this summer so that more travellers can enjoy our low-fares and ongoing promotions.”
Vietjet currently operates a fleet of 25 Airbus aircraft across 32 routes domestically and internationally. The airline also offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years of age, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants. These passengers are encouraged to approach Vietjet’s express check-in counters for priority boarding and assistance with carry-on baggage.
