Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) is organizing Vietnam Tourism Roadshow in four Australian cities- Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Sydney, and in Auckland, New Zealand from August 6, 2018 to August 15, 2018 to introduce Vietnam tourism in Australia and New Zealand. This is a great initiative by VNAT to endorse Vietnam as one of the fascinating vacation escape in Southeast Asia for Australian and New Zealander travelers. The Australian market is identified as one of the potential markets for Vietnam’s tourism industry. According to the VNAT statistics, Vietnam welcomed 420,906 travelers from Oceania in 2017, a rise of 15.8% from 2016 and the first 7 months of 2018 welcomed a total of 223,051 visitors from Oceania.

Vietnam Tourism Roadshow creates a platform for industry leaders and travel entrepreneurs to develop a strong community of trading associates across borders. This show aims at generating business prospects while developing alliances between stakeholders to promote tourism from Oceania countries to Vietnam. It also helps in engaging influential business leaders to share their insights about market trends and business opportunities among the trading partners of the two nations. The recent expansion of direct flights between the two country, relaxed Visa regulation policies and the emerging interest of Southeast Asian cultural, gastronomic, agrotourism and ecological tourism among the travelers has increased the business opportunities for tourism operators in Vietnam and Oceania countries.

Vietnam is endowed with both beguiling and captivating scenes that mirror the surreal seascape with limestone outcrops of Halong Bay, terraced paddy fields of mountainous North, world’s largest cave in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and some of the world’s best beaches along its extensive serpentine shaped coastline. Complementing the interest of the travelers and their fascination towards exploring the wide plethora of fascinating destinations, Vietnam has embellished itself with unique hospitality trends. Vietnam is developing and diversifying every aspect of its travel and hospitality industry to outdo the needs and expectations of the international travelers.

Ripples of personal experiential luxury have dramatically hit the hospitality market in Vietnam with increasing popularity of condotels and boutique hotels surpassing the traditional style of luxury hotels, especially along the Central coastline in Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc. All-inclusive cruising experiences across Red River, Halong Bay and Mekong River reflecting the quintessence of tranquil bucolic charm are overtaking the popularity of land tourism. The changing face of Vietnam’s travel industry has become quite prominent in the past few years and are on par with any international travel destination. Although common to many countries, charter flight service is the latest upgrade in Vietnam tourism with increasing demand, creating a deep impact in both domestic as well as international markets.

According to industry expert and the man behind Luxury Travel Ltd., the Founder CEO, Mr. Pham Ha, “We have experienced a significant upsurge in the number of tourists from Australia and New Zealand in recent years. This reflects the market potential but we need to emphasize more on this growing importance to expand the tourism market far and beyond across entire Oceania.
