Pham Ha, CEO and founder of Luxury Travel Ltd. shared: “This year, the number of tour operators visited our booth are more crowded than we expected.
They are interested in our new luxury travel products in Vietnam. Thanks to the visa exemption policy of Vietnamese government and direct flights between Vietnam and UK, Vietnam is getting more and more popular in the UK and Ireland markets. Our revenue of UK tourists in 9 months of the first year has increase 20% – 30% comparing to the same period of the year. Further, this year again, Luxury Travel is an official supporter of Responsible Tourism Day at WTM” said Pham Ha.
He stressed that the UK market is very important to the company and that it is seeking to dominate this market with more staff and increasing the number of private small groups that it serves. This will be primarily through tailor-made holidays via the sales office based in the EU, aimed solely at British holiday makers.
British travellers are looking for more authentic experiences and seek to have a deeper understanding of the country’s culture, food, history and everyday life. While Thailand is geared more toward mass market tourism, Vietnam is a destination that is attractive to a more selective class of travelers.By this opportunity, they also introduced their new brochure with new experiences in Vietnam and their new brand over the 10 year of the nonstop development of Luxury Travel and their achievements. Their program 14 – day Familiazation trip to Vietnam is attracted by a large number of tour operators from Britains.
At the WTM show, Mr. Ha Van Sieu – Deputy Director General of VNAT emphasized Viet Nam is one of the most attractive destinations in the world. Considering Europe as the key market in need of priority to tourism promotion, in recent years, Viet Nam has implemented solutions to attract visitors from this continent, notably visa waiver policy for a maximum of 15 days for citizens of 5 Western European countries (United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Italy) from July 1, 2015. Besides, direct flights between Europe and Viet Nam have increased. Specially, Viet Nam has focused on improving service quality, developing infrastructure and typical tourism products towards sustainable tourism development. As the result, in the recent years, the UK and Western European countries like France, Germany… have been in the top 15 largest source markets of Viet Nam. In 2014, the number of visitors from the UK to Viet Nam reached more than 200 thousand arrivals, up 9.5% over last year.
