Viking Sea Featured on Channel 7 Tonight

Viking today announced that its ocean ship Viking Sea will feature on Channel 7’s episode of “Mighty Cruise Ships” airing tonight at 7.30pm (AEDT).

“When guests board the Viking Sea, they’re not looking for casinos, bumper cars or discos,” said the producers of the show. “They want outstanding scenery, dramatic destinations, and sublime Scandinavian decor, all of which they’ll receive, and then some. Join us on a 15-day journey that follows ancient Viking trading routes, from London to Scotland and the northwest coast of Norway. It’s a course this new ship has never sailed before, and while it promises majestic views and grand adventure, getting there and back will push the captain and his crew to the limit.”

“Viewers will get a fantastic overview of Viking by watching this episode,” said Michelle Black, Viking Managing Director, Australia and New Zealand. “It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in Viking to check out our innovative Scandinavian ships and amazing captains and crew, as well as the kinds of interesting itineraries and stunning scenery a Viking ocean cruise provides.”

Launched in 2016, Viking Sea was Viking’s second ocean ship. The line currently has four ships in the fleet and will welcome two more sister ships in the next two years, including Viking Orion in June 2018, which will home port from Sydney to Auckland from December this year. With the arrival of Viking Jupiter in 2019, Viking will be the largest small ship ocean cruise line. Ten additional ships are now on order for delivery starting in 2021, which will bring Viking’s ocean fleet to 16 ships by 2027.

Interested viewers should tune in to Channel 7 at 7.30pm (AEDT) tonight Thursday 29 March.
