Last night Jayne Buck, VP Tourism for Visit Denver, in Sydney for the first time, hosted an intimate industry dinner at Altitude Private Dining Room on the 36th floor of  the Shangri-La Hotel arranged by Caroline Davidson of Davison Communications.

Guests were treated to a spectacular menu and views at venue that was the perfect nod to Denver’s tagline as ‘The Mile High City’. A gorgeous table setting featuring roses and pumpkins also heralded the American tradition of Halloween.

Jayne and Caroline’s invited guests included Joe Kaessfaeher from the US Consulate, Kirill Litovchenko, Marketing Manager United Airlines, Helen Fish, US Product Manager Adventure World, Rodney Muller, MD and Lyn Haddad, Product Manager from Ski Max, Angus Crichton GM of Evergreen Tours, Chris Dunlop, Manager Travelplan, Sally McFadyen Flight Centre, Ed Smith GM Canada & Alaska Travel Specialists, Farid Hacene, GM Marketing for House of Travel and Andrew Hutchinson Head of Product for Pinpoint Travel Group.

Jayne  was in Sydney to attend a convention that will be hosted in Denver in 2015 and while here, to meet with wholesalers and tour operators to ensure Denver’s many assets are  top of mind for Australian visitors heading to the US on both summer and winter. As well being the  gateway to the west, Denver is itself a centre for art, music and adventure of great appeal to Australians and a new  Denver Beer Trail which features 14 breweries crafting more than 200 beers in Denver every day.

Jayne is delighted with her stay in Sydney; the positive reception and interest she received from the industry and pronounced her short stay an overwhelming success for Visit Denver.
