Visit Pensacola Presents Must-See and Must-Do Events for Fall Vacationers Along the Gulf Coast

Besides offering vacationers some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and cool breezes this November, Pensacola also has a packed schedule of nationally recognized fall festivals and events showcasing the arts, history, and culture suitable for everyone from families to seasonal snowbirds.

The Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival features paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and even heritage arts.

Decadent dinners, block parties, and backstage ballet dot the long list of fall attractions in Pensacola. The Foo Foo Fest (November 6-17) is a new 12-day festival, showcasing the unique art, music, and dining experiences in Pensacola. The Pensacola Museum of Art, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, First City Art Center, Jackson’s restaurant, and Pensacola Opera are just a few of the organizations hosting special events during Foo Foo Fest. Anchoring the Foo Foo Fest is the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival (November 7, 8, 9). Named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast, this juried art show brings more than 200 nationally known artists to Seville Square in downtown Pensacola. They compete for awards and show-off and sell their original art to the thousands of visitors who return year after year to shop for incredible paintings, drawings, sculptures, and jewelry. The art of songwriting is celebrated at the 30th Annual Frank Brown Songwriters Festival (November 6-16), presented by the Perdido Key Chamber of Commerce. More than 200 Grammy-award winning songwriters along with rising stars in the music industry perform original songs in multiple locations along the Florida coast. The Back on the Blocks Festival (November 11-15) revives the music and soul found in Pensacola’s Historic Belmont Devillers Neighborhood—a neighborhood known for street parties, famous musical acts, and soul food back in the 60s and 70s. The Back on the Blocks Festival showcases working muralists and street artists, jazz and blues music, conversations with nationally known authors, dance, a jam session, and a Saturday afternoon block party. Yoga teachers from across the southeast and “yogis” will unite, celebrate yoga, and “inspire greatness” at the Mahabhuta Yoga Festival (November 21-23) in Pensacola. The Mahabhuta festival features 24 yoga workshops, organic and vibrant food, and the latest techniques in yoga, including Thai Yoga Bodywork and Acroyoga. For a list of classes and teachers, visit

The Creek Indian Festival (November 22-23), an annual pow wow that celebrates the Creek Indian culture and customs takes place right before Thanksgiving. The festival features dancing, displays, and Native American vendors selling crafts and food including Indian fry bread and roasted corn.

Wil Lo Week (November 24-30), an urban celebration in Pensacola featuring education, empowerment, and entertainment rounds out the busy month of November. The CEO Super Comedy Blowout show at the Pensacola Saenger Theater, Saturday, November 29, is the cornerstone event.
