Visit Santa Rosa Celebrates 10 Years of Service as an Official California Welcome Center; Has Welcomed Over 500,000 Visitors

Visit Santa Rosa & The California Welcome Center Santa Rosa announce the 10 year anniversary of service to visitors and the community.

The celebration will include an array of local dignitaries, government officials and hospitality industry leaders. Food and entertainment from popular local vendors will complement this opportunity for industry and the public to get to know fellow gI_111887_Welcome Center finalhospitality members and community VIP’s & decision makers. The festivities will take place on Thursday, July 18th at 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Welcome Center: 9 Fourth Street in historic Railroad Square, Santa Rosa. Visit Santa Rosa Executive Director Brad Calkins reflects, “It’s been such an honor to be a part of Visit California and the California Welcome Centers Network. Since our CWC designation in July 2003 our community has benefited in numerous ways, most importantly welcoming over 500,000 new visitors to the area and an over 50 Million Dollar impact on the local economy.” The anniversary event will be an insider’s opportunity to mix & mingle; intended so that hospitality, tourism and local business members can come together and get to know one another. Attendees will find great wine country food, drink and entertainment, industry information and goodie bags for all including Santa Rosa Magazine, discount wine tasting certificates and other gifts from local vendors.

The purpose of official California Welcome Centers are to offer valuable information and services to travelers and honor a higher standard of service in accordance with the national organizations. To facilitate any and all travel plans and enhance the travel experience, specializing in travel tools and support. At the California Welcome Center in Santa Rosa, each representative is trained by the National Certified Tourism Ambassador™ Program (CTA) to ensure the best possible experience for all visitors.
