`Vivid’ Nights on the Harbour

Vivid Sydney is back bigger and brighter from 23 May to 09 June 2014 and Captain Cook Cruises is offering a variety of dining cruises so passengers can see the city come alive in a spectacular array of lights and projections across Sydney’s most famous landmarks.

According to Captain Cook Cruises Head of Sales and Marketing, Richard Doyle “for the first time the harbour itself will become a canvas for brightly lit vessels that change colour as they cruise around the harbour.”

“The best place to see the harbour and the full display of lights and projections on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and other landmark buildings along the harbour foreshore is from the water”, continues Mr Doyle.unnamed (2)

VIVID Light also features huge 3D digital mapping projections and lighting displays across city scrapes and landmark buildings including the Museum of Contemporary Art and Customs House.

Diners on the Sunset dinner cruise will enjoy the spectacular moment when the Vivid lights turn on at 6.00pm. The Sunset dinner cruise includes a delicious two course meal and an open bar of Tyrrell’s house sparkling or still wines, beer and soft drinks. Passengers disembark at Circular Quay at 6.30pm on the doorstep of the Vivid Light walk and can immerse themselves in the amazing light installations.

The Sunset dinner cruise is priced at $85 per person and departs nightly at 5.00pm from Jetty 6, Circular Quay.

For a longer experience diners on the Captains Dinner cruise will enjoy the full canvas of lights over a leisurely three course Contemporary Australian a la carte menu and great live music and dancing. Departing nightly from No. 1 King Street Wharf, Darling Harbour, the Captains Dinner cruise is $139 per person.

For the Vivid Ultimate experience, the Gold Dinner cruise is not to be missed. Diners will enjoy a 6 course degustation menu, Vintage Australian wines to complement each course, an open bar of house spirits, beer and soft drinks and million dollar views of the light sensations of Vivid.
