“Excellence in Indigenous Tourism is core to our vision at Ayers Rock Resort and to receive recognition for the achievement of this once again is very gratifying,” said Andrew.

“Following last year’s Brolga win Voyages went on to be awarded a Gold Award for Indigenous Tourism at the Australian Tourism Awards and it will be great to compete at the highest level in the country again this year,” said Andrew.

The Brolga for Indigenous Tourism was awarded not only for the creation and delivery of a daily suite of free Indigenous guest activities that include cultural dance performances and garden walks but also the significant achievements made in Indigenous employment training and development.

In a further endorsement of the destination, an additional seven Brolgas were awarded local operators.  Uluru Camel Tours scored a hat trick with Brolgas for Tourist Attraction, Tour and Transport Operator and Adventure and Adventure Tourism; AAT Kings for Major Tour and Transport Operator, Tourism Restaurant and Catering Services for the Uluru BBQ dinner as well as the Chairman’s Choice Award and MarukuArts were awarded for Business Growth.

“We work together with our business partners to ensure an overall excellent guest experience at the destination, and we would like to extend our congratulations to them for being recognized as the best in the Northern Territory in so many categories,” said Andrew.
