IGG Destination Marketing, representatives of Memphis Tourism in Australia and New Zealand, today announced that it has appointed public relations agency Evil Twin PR to manage its Australian PR activities.

Charged with national public relations ahead of Memphis’ bicentenary in 2019, Evil Twin PR will support IGG Destination Marketing’s Memphis based activities within the Australian market. A key focus for the agency will be the city’s bicentenary celebrations, along with championing all that makes Memphis unique and a world-renowned destination.

Chris Ingram, Director of IGG Destination Marketing said, “2019 is shaping up to be a huge year for tourism, and Memphis Tourism is no exception to that. Last year, Memphis saw a 48.8% year-over-year increase in visitation from Australia, and with the city’s bicentenary on the horizon, we’re committed to continuing that growth.”

Along with the 11.7m visitors to the city last year, Memphis continues to see an increased supply of high-end hotel rooms, has a recently improved convention centre, and has committed to ongoing upgrades to amenities along its riverfront. The city also offers as a calendar of festivals and events with something to appeal to every kind of traveller.
