Luna Park Sydney fires up the fun again this winter with the best ice rink view in Sydney at the waterfront Winterfest where winter markets, warming street food, wild rides including Sydney’s tallest Ferris Wheel and evil movie characters from Despicable Me 3 create a perfect playground from July 1 – 16 for a day or night’s entertainment.

Luna Park’s Winterfest will see the return of their huge 23m x 12m outdoor ice rink and there is no need to book times – It’s FREE with your Unlimited Ride or Annual Park pass.

Alongside the rink will be winter markets serving up a variety of warm, delicious treats including fun street food Frusta’s for the sweet tooth with Nutella & Banana or keep it simple with Margarita or Mushroom. There are fancy versions too with ham, mustard, Swiss cheese and rocket or grilled eggplant, mushroom Gruyere & rocket. To really get you into the winter theme, try a Top Dog Bratwurst and sauerkraut roll and follow-up with treats like Ben and Jerry’s mini tubs, donuts and hazelnut twists along with plenty of other winter snacks. Match your menu up with a German or Italian beer, a range of great Australian wines or hot and cold beverages.

The Despicable Me 3 Minion comrades will join the skating fun on ice but after showing off your skating style, Winterfest visitors can turn your talent to the Park’s famous carnival sideshow games that will offer Despicable Me 3 prize packs.

Or step up for a despicable Treasure Hunt. Race around Luna Park’s famous attractions following clues to find treasure with a number of merchandise prizes up for grabs including sticker sheets, squishy Dave toys, stationary sets, Minion goggles, magnets, treats and more.

Despicable Me 3 characters will stalk the park in meet and greet parades while park patrons can fill out your adventure, catching a waterview Sydney sunset then jumping on the numerous thrilling rides like the Hair Raiser, Wild Mouse, Tumble Bug, Spider, Whirly Wheel and the all new Tango Train.

In celebration of the Despicable Me 3 movie release, Luna Park are also running online competitions from Friday 30 June, with Despicable Me 3 prize packs complete with in-season Family Tickets all up for grabs. Visit Luna Park Sydney for more information.
