We want oppa! A third of Hongkongers’ bucket lists involve celebrities

When going on their bucket list-clearing expeditions, Hongkongers prefer to have their significant other riding shotgun (59%), reveals a recent research report by™. A third of Hong Kong respondents include celebrities in their bucket list items. The list of their favourites is as follows:

Other than the king of Cantopop, Korean superstars the likes of EXO and Big Bang, Mandopop phenomena Jay Chou and JJ Lin, and Hollywood hotshots Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson all have a place on our bucket lists. Talk about diversity!

Who would’ve thunk Hongkongers wanted to leave town? Hongkongers across all demographics regard leaving Hong Kong and staying abroad for at least a year as something they want to do at least once before they, well, die. Many Hongkongers also want to visit destinations in the U.S., but these attractions lose out to the ultimate bucket list activity:

The global research report was conducted by to celebrate its Rewards program**, which gives members one free hotel night for every ten stayed. The report also identified the destinations travellers would most love to visit for free, with London (25%), Paris (24%), New York (21%), Tokyo (19%) and Dubai (17%) making up the top five.

When it comes to stylish sleeps, wanderlusters dreamt of staying in a castle, an underwater hotel and a palace. The Peninsula at home took number one spot among more traditional bucket list accommodation options.
